The AX-37A antenna is a compact UHF directional antenna with an in-built low-noise amplifier,
suitable for indoor monitoring and surveillance applications. Its small footprint, the approximate size
of an A4 sheet of paper, conserves space and makes concealed installation possible, if desired.
The antenna is lightweight and installation can be achieved within minutes using double-sided adhesive tape.
This log-periodic antenna is constructed on a high-quality fibre-glass substrate,
with a 20dB amplifier directly mounted on the substrate, together with other surface-mount circuitry
and a standard 9V PP3 type battery holder. A power switch and a LED indicator are provided on the antenna. Alternatively,
the antenna can be powered through the coaxial cable, or can be ordered without the amplifier, if desired.
The antenna is ideally suited for reception of UHF point-to-point communications where its directional
characteristics can significantly improve rejection of interfering signals.
The antenna covers the frequency range of 300 to 3000 MHz (a much wider frequency range can be received
with reduced gain).
While designed to be entirely general-purpose and performing well with any
third-party equipment, the WiNRADiO AX-37A Planar Log-Periodic Antenna is
especially suitable for WiNRADiO 3000 Series of receivers, such as the
WR-3700e receiver.
